Release over a week ago, the Vivek Agnihotri directorial has been absolutely unstoppable at the box office with its business seeing an increase in collections with each passing day. Now on Day 8, The Kashmir Files has managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark.
Collecting Rs. 116.45cr in just 8 Days, The Kashmir Files manages to out beat Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi that had managed this feat in 13 days of its release. With this, The Kashmir Files currently ranks as the fastest Rs. 100 cr grosser of 2022. If that wasn’t enough, with The Kashmir Files achieving this benchmark, director Vivek Agnihotri will be seen making his debut in this much-coveted club.
If that wasn’t enough, The Kashmir Files still enjoys the audiences’ favor is expected to continue its box office run despite the release of Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchhan Pandey. In fact, going by the current trend it is estimated that The Kashmir Files remains as the audiences’ first choice in theatres will cross the Rs. 150 cr mark by the end of its second week in theatres.

In this box office report, we take a look at the second Sunday collections of The Kashmir Files while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting Rs. 26.20 cr The Kashmir Files manages to out beat the Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which had collected Rs. 24.05 cr, to emerge as the fourth-highest all-time second Sunday grosser. Besides this, The Kashmir Files also surpasses Tiger Zinda Hai which collected Rs. 22.23 cr, Tanhaji — The Unsung Warrior that collected Rs. 22.12 cr, the Aamir Khan starrer PK that collected Rs. 21.85 cr, Padmaavat that collected Rs. 20 cr, and Kabir Singh that had collected Rs. 17.84 cr.
However, the business of The Kashmir Files does not surpass certain other releases like Baahubali 2 — The Conclusion that collected Rs. 34.5 cr, Dangal that collected Rs. 32.04 cr, and Sanju that had collected Rs. 28.05 cr.
