Film star Aamir Khan has released the first song “ Kahani” from his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha. The film stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Chaitanya Akkineni. The soundtrack is composed by Pritam, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. It features vocals by Mohan Kannan and is a soulful tune. As the film's team explained, the intent was to put the musicians and their music at the forefront.
Aamir Khan has posted several clues on social media about his upcoming movie Laal Chaddha. In one video, he is seen playing cricket with friends and says he is gearing up to share a story. A few days later, another video saw him playing table football as he shared how he has picked the radio as the means to tell his story. Currently, Khan was sporting a T-shirt inspired by the character Crime Master Gogo from Andaz Apna Apna (Watch Bollywood Blockbuster movies for free online only on the Mzaalo by Xfinite). Many fans initially speculated that this was a hint at an Andaz Apna Apna sequel.
Khan offered praise for the music, “I truly believe that the songs in Laal Singh Chaddha are the soul of the film and this album has some of my career’s best songs.” The actor went on to say that it was a very intentional decision to put Pritam, Amitabh, and the singers and technicians in the spotlight because they deserve center stage and also, they have poured their heart and soul into the music.
The movie Laal Singh Chaddha is set for release on August 11, 2011.
